We are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration between the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) in Germany and Meru University of Science & Technology in Kenya! This partnership brings together two prestigious institutions with a shared vision of advancing high-tech materials and fostering innovation in technology and chemistry.
Prof. Dr. Ulrich Panne, President of BAM, recently hosted a meeting with Prof. Romanus Odhiambo, Vice Chancellor of Meru University of Science & Technology, at BAM’s headquarters in Germany.
This meeting was held as part of the groundbreaking ‘Circular bio-based intelligent organic and oxide engineering ecosystems – From multiple heterogeneous sources to homogeneous high-tech materials supply streams (Circular B-I/O)’ project. Funded by the VolkswagenStiftung Foundation, this project aims to develop sustainable and intelligent materials from diverse sources, setting new standards in the field.
Key attendees included Dr. Joseph Mwiti Marangu, Director of the Institute of Cement & Concrete at Meru University of Science & Technology and Dr. Wolfram Schmidt, Project Coordinator at BAM. These experts, along with their teams, are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of materials science, ensuring safety and fostering technological innovation.
BAM, a leading federal institute in Germany, is renowned for its commitment to safety in technology and chemistry. By integrating research, testing, and consultation, BAM plays a crucial role in protecting people, the environment, and property. Their expertise in materials science and engineering not only supports Germany’s technological leadership but also builds public trust in innovation.
